Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this classic all-steel hot rod Model A Roadster. This '29 model showcases custom paint, interior, and a powerful 327 Vette engine. With a Mustang II front end with disc brakes, a 9-inch Ford rear end, and air conditioning, this street rod can be driven and enjoyed. The body is all steel, including the running boards and fenders. The color of choice is a '66 Chrysler Chestnut brown with flake. This is a base/clear coat finish that shows well throughout, displaying some true hot rodders "classic" pinstriping. The cloth soft top and upholstery was recently done by Rod & Customs out of Kansas. We also have snap in side windows when you desire to run the air conditioning.
The engine is a Corvette 327 4bbl. V8 (casting 3858174) paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. This powerplant runs out strong. Induction duties are courtesy of a 4bbl. carburetor atop a polished aluminum intake. Exhaust gases are expelled in a hurry through chromed block-hugger headers and a muffler dual exhaust system. The ignition system has also been amplified with a HEI distributor. The hood assembly is easily removed when desired, only a top, no side panels. Look closely and you'll find lady silouettes throughout the pinstriping.
The wheels of choice are polished aluminum Weld rims, 14-inchers up front & 15s out back. The tires are sized at 235/75R15 in the rear and 175/70R14s up front, respectively. This car has the look and the stance. As always, many of our photos were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. Have a seat in the "mother-in-law" seat also known as the "rumble seat."
Open the doors to this little honey and have a seat. The interior features a black vinyl bench seat & updated VDO gauges with a machine-turned backing. This Hot Rod has a full soft top & snap-in side curtains to make use of the air conditioning. The undercarriage showcases the Ford 9-inch rear end & Mustang II front end. This car is easy to drive. The frame and flooring is in very good condition throughout.
