There were 4,839,340 Model As produced. 1931 Would be
the last year of the A model. These were hard times, in contrast to
1,261,053 A's produced in in 1930, only 626,579 were produced in '31,
less than half.

The 30-31 Model A trucks were true workhorses. This example features a
wood & steel bed. The steel bed sides are highlighted with wood railing.
This truck has withstood the test of time. It is fresh from a lengthy
dry Texas storage. It does run, be sure to play our video. This one
displays original steel & fiberglass front fenders. This Model A has not
succumbed to the hands of hot rodders or customizers all of these
decades past. The paint is poor and chipped. The body is steel
throughout with the exception of 'glass front fenders.
The three photos above are of when we acquired this truck after its
storage.
Produced in nearly every conceivable designation, the Model A enjoyed a
great reputation with many improvements of the Henry Ford's T-Models.
The brakes were 4-wheel mechanical. The driver now had easier to use
controls, including a conventional clutch. The engine now produced 40 to
50 horsepower. Of course, the design is much more attractive.
This Model A truck rides on 4.75/5.00-19s. It features full fenders, and
an all steel cab, hood, and engine cowls.
The 1930-31 Model A's featured this polished stainless surround encasing
the radiator as well as headlight housings.
The swing-out windshield operates as it should.
The Model A was the first Ford to utilized a standard set of drivers
controls. There was a conventional clutch, brake pedal, throttle, and
gearshift. The emergency brake and choke are in place as well. All of
the wood is in good condition and covered by the correct rubber mat.
The original gauge cluster now includes an Amp gauge, added some time in
the past. This is the 6-volt charging system.
The running boards & fenders are steel as are the wire wheels. Note the
mounted side spare secured in place.
The engine compartment displays the correct L head 4 cylinder engine.
Close inspection of the engine compartment will reveal good solid
components throughout. We have got it to run for us, be sure to see the
video.
The louvered engine side cowls raise and lower easily.
The firewall displays very well with the Ford patent plate in place. The
cowl welting is in placce.
The undercarriage displays solid flooring and framework throughout. The
rear end and engine underside looks to be in good condition, this truck
is fresh from a lengthy dry storage.The inside of the bed is in good
condition throughout.
The tailgate is straight and solid throughout as well.
The finish shows its age with chips and fading, but the metal is in
exceptionally good shape.
