The body features a
single-stage Corvette yellow finish. Note the position of the
front fenders. The early 60's California laws required the
wheels to be covered.
The rake is perfect on this
machine. Notice how the radiator is dropped in the front, just
like Milner's Deuce. Many of the clones you find out there
overlook this fact.
The license plate THX 138
was used exclusively on Milner's car by director George Lucas as
a reference to his Sci-Fi thriller THX 1138. George was very
proud of that film and offered a hint of its title to his
knowing fans. A reference to THX 1138 was also made in Star
Wars.
Built to drive, this car
showcases a profesionally built 383 stroker V8 with the
ultra-rare & correct MAN-A-FRE. intake manifold with four 2bbl.
Rochester carburetors. A lot of time was spent getting the tune
perfect. This is a docile machine tuned for high-octane fuel.
You'll notice the correct
master cylinder mounted on the polished stainless firewall panel
just like the movie car. This is a dummy unit. The brakes
consist of a hydraulic brake booster hidden underneath the car
powering front disc brakes. This car built to GO and STOP.
Breathing duties are taken
care of by these custom Sanderson Headers, twisting underneath
the car. They sound GNARLY. Be sure to play our video/sound
presentation of this Lil' Hot Deuce Coupe in action.
John Milner was so COOL!
Here he is getting ready to go race the Mean '55 Chevy.
Tell the kids to stay inside
and lock your doors. Enjoy the movie stills from American
Graffiti.
Here is our '32 Ford
5-Window Coupe today.
Here are a few shots of
Milner's actual car above and below.
Do you see the resemblance?
This car was built right !
The black interior is
spartan and functional. The gauges are vintage S&W units. The
steering column is polished, resting underneath the simple
3-spoke steering wheel. A Secret Audio sound system has been
installed, complete with a 6-Disc CD Changer mounted in the
trunk. The tinted windows are power operated, with a simple push
of the window crank.
FLASHBACK! Here is Paul
LeMat in the iconic role of John Milner.
The undercarriage is very
clean and detailed. This is a SAFE street rod. The Pete & Jakes
chassis is re-inforced and complimented by the I-Beam front end.
A Ford 9-Inch Rear end houses the highway friendly gearing. This
is a not a low-geared, hard to drive on the street quarter
miler, but we won't tell anyone if you don't...
Fly High or Race Low, many
of our photos were taken at the historic Dallas Love Field
Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our
showroom.
The trunk features Paul
LeMat's signature prominently displayed against the Corvette
Yellow finish.
Inside the trunk, you'll
find it to be neat and tidy inside, complete with a main battery
power switch, battery tender, large fuel cell, and Optima
Battery.
You'll be the talk to town
at the local car show or the talk of the local police if your
neighbors don't like you much.
This is a beautiful hot rod,
ready to enjoy.
The engine was specially
built with streetability in mind. These quadruple carburetors
can be a chore to tune if you don't know what you're doing. This
setup has been fine tuned and runs like a top. The cam was
specifically ground for this application. Ignition duties are
courtesy of an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and MSD 6A box.
Yes, this Hurst shift
features an actual Piston shifter knob, not an El Cheapo!
Detail, detail, detail.
There are none finer.
