Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this RED HOT '32 Plymouth Coupe. This car has run a dizzying 10.4 ET @ 135.5 MPH in the quarter mile. It was built in 1986 and has been driven regularly in street duty on tours and to car shows. Just over 13,250 miles have been logged thus far on this special street rod.
Not for the faint of heart, this car rides on Polished Slot Wheels fitted with 165R15 Coker Tires up front & huge 31 x 8.50-15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman radials out back. We have an extra set of Goodyear drag slicks that are included along with the custom hydraulic tilt trailer.
The Hot Red Ditzler Starthane paint is in very good condition, with very few imperfections & chip touch-ups on closer inspection. This is a well done hot rod and this is reflected both cosmetically and mechanically. It was built to drive and show, displaying a straight mirrored shine throughout.
The front end displays an array of polished and chromed components. The disc brakes are accompanied by chromed shocks, a polished swaybar, polished tubular a-arms and more. The front license plate is recessed behind the grille for a sinister appearance.
Staying true to Mother Mopar, under the hood, the powerplant is a warmed-over '69 440 c.i. big block with a polished Edelbrock aluminum intake & three Holley carburetors. This Six Pack engine runs on pump gas and propels this car extremely well. It is very livable on the street. The cam sounds excellent and exhaust gases are expelled through custom chromed headers to a chromed side exhaust system. Be sure to play our video/sound clip to hear this amazing Plymouth in person.
The engine features beautiful chromed components throughout. The pullies are chromed as is the power steering pump and alternator. A N20 Nitrous cheater system is also in place for sheer intimidation. The firewall is very clean and detailed. There is an electric fan for the radiator along with an auxiliary electric fuel pump.
The interior features custom velour upholstery and very comfortable custom-integrated Charger bucket seating.
Very driver friendly, this Street Rod features a tilt steering column along with a walnut dash & VDO gauges that include a 160 mph speedometer, 10,000 rpm tachometer, oil pressure, transmission temperature, voltage, water temperature, engine vacuum, fuel level, and a clock.
The B&M shifter is accompanied by a line-lock and auxiliary button.
The undercarriage is a further testament to the attention to detail and function in the build of this Plymouth. The rear end is a custom narrowed 8 3/4 Mopar with Richmond 4.56 gearing along with chromed coil-over shocks.
A hidden power brake booster is used to aid the 4-wheel disc braking systems stopping force.
The twin polished fuel tanks are beautifully done.
