1933 Plymouth Deluxe PD Coupe

  1933 Plymouth Deluxe PD Coupe

Go Back....

On its introduction, the "PD" instantly became Plymouth's most popular model.

This beautiful street rod is powered by a 383 cubic inch stroker V8 with roller rockers and a mild cam. This great running engine is detailed to show and tuned to go.

This is a "Rumble Seat" Coupe.

The body displays a beautiful custom finish. This approximately 10-year old paint is a testament to the quality and the care of this Plymouth. The paint is in excellent condition, showing only a few minor imperfections & chip-touch up on close observation.

This deep metallic Ruby Base / Clearcoat is a special tinted metallic blend. We also have a custom-fitted vinyl Bra and headlight covers.

The brightwork is in outstanding condition.

The rear bumper is 1932 Ford.

The grille surround has recently been re-chromed and shows excellent.

We do have Ruby's side hood panels, if you prefer that look.

Ruby is an original all steel car. This car was originally from the San Diego, California area, and came to Texas about 10 years ago. Because of her original body and frame, she is titled as a 33 Plymouth.

The quality carries on to the interior.

The interior features vintage Stewart Warner gauges along with a Camaro GM tilt steering column & Grant Signature Series Wood Steering Wheel. A Lokar shifter handles the Turbo 350 automatic's gears with authority.

2-Tone seating is complimented by matching door panels.

The premium cloth roof insert is in beautiful condition.

A chromium fire extinguisher has been installed for safety.

The engine compartment shows true time and attention to detail throughout.

The firewall is polished stainless steel with polished fasteners. The radiator and engine components are highly polished. This aluminum radiator is a custom fabricated unit built by Air Mobile of Glendale, AZ. especially for this Plymouth and is accompanied by a polished overflow tank & chromed electric fan. The Edelbrock intake is polished. The carburetor has been professionally polished. Also the alternator, water pump, and pullies are all polished. The spark plug wire boots are protected with shields and polished billet spark plug wire looms. Underneath, the chassis is an excellent original along with upgrades including re-enforcements and front disc brakes. The rear end is a 9-inch Ford. The gas tank has been restored. Also, chromed shocks front and back have been installed.

The engine underside features a finned & polished transmission pan and chromed oil pan. The starter is chromed as is the balancer and oil filter.

The professionally polished American Racing Torque-Thrust wheels are wrapped in Michelin Rain Force radial tires sized at 235/75R15 in back and 235/65R15 in front.

Very tasteful touches are noticed on close observation.

1933 would also be the last year Plymouth featured an exposed radiator cap, as you can see above.
