The interior is a time capsule, detailed with
its original upholstery and instruments. The dash displays its
original wood-grained paneling. The gauges are crisp and clear
throughout. The plastics used in the various controls and
steering wheel are in beautiful condition. This well optioned
example features a heater, radio, and clock. The 1948
Streamliner sported a newly designed grille with a "floating"
bar at the top of the grille that doubled as a Pontiac
nameplate. Under the substantial hood is the factory flathead 6
cylinder engine. This powerplant is rated at 93 horsepower &
78ft-lbs of torque.

The proud Pontiac Chief is prominently displayed on the hood,
featuring beautiful translucent red accents for 1948.
The original undercarriage is in exceptional condition. It
displays the typical surface rust, however the flooring and
framework is solid. This is indicative of a dry climate example.
The door undersides are solid and original.
The orignal body and identification tags are in place. Both the
firewall and inner fenders showcase excellent original
sheetmetal throughout.
The trunk displays its original paneling throughout.
The original finish is faded and chipped in places, but displays
a beautiful patina to it. The sheetmetal is original throughout
this car.
The 1948 Streamliner Six was built on a 122 inch wheelbase. It
is 210 inches overall length. This example rides on its factory
16-inch steel wheels wrapped in 5.60-16 All-State Super Safety
Wide Whites.
