The grille is beautifully detailed and complimented by amber lights. Due to the Korean military action, chromium was a rare commodity in 1951. The majority of '51 Chevrolet trucks sported painted grilles.
Under the hood is the beautifully detailed and rebuilt Series II inline 6 cylinder engine. This power plant is paired with the 3-speed manual transmission. This is a 1957 Chevrolet Pickup drive train that was completely rebuilt. The engine, transmission, and rear end have been rebuilt. This is an EXCELLENT cruising truck at highway speeds. The rear end is fitted with 3.73 gearing.
Close inspection of the engine compartment reveal beautifully detailed inner fenders, core support, and firewall sheet metal, paint, and fasteners throughout. The engine block, manifolds, carburetor, and external oil filter show very well. The correct breather assembly has also been utilized.
The exterior displays a brilliant red finish in exceptionally nice condition. The body is laser straight throughout. The paint is a base/clear coat beautifully done. This truck was built approximately 8 years ago and has amassed multiple 1st place trophies since then. It is in excellent condition today. The truck has never seen rain since its restoration and is always garage kept. The sheet metal on this Texas truck is outstanding throughout with zero rust. The bed and tailgate are new.
