'58 Corvette Rear End
This beautiful '55 Chevrolet was built to drive and show. Built in California around 2003, this car has spent its time in the fair weather of California & now Texas. The car is proudly displayed in Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom. The paint and body are outstanding as are the mechanicals. This Chevy is powered by a 401 cubic inch stroked small block V8 easily producing over 400 horsepower on pump gas. The transmission is a 4-speed overdrive unit & the rear end is from a '58 Corvette. With updated power steering and power front disc brakes, this is a very easy car to drive and will be a pleasure for someone to show and enjoy on the street.
The exterior is finished in Turquoise and in excellent condition. The body displays quality paint and fit throughout this dry climate example.
Hand pin striping adorns the body line and deck lid if you look closely.
These are custom Headwind Headlights.
This is one fine Tri-Five Chevy ! This car was appraised by Classic Auto Appraiser in Mission Viejo, CA for $51,500 in 2003 with a booklet detailing the car and parts used in its extensive build.
Under the hood, you'll find a highly detailed engine compartment along with a 401 cubic-inch stroker V8.
New, sleek styling earned the 1955 Chevrolet the nickname of "The Hot One." This car certainly lives up to that reputation.
This classic stance is thanks to the carefully selected 17" rear and 16" front American Racing wheels wrapped in B.F. Goodrich Comp T/A radials.
The turquoise finish displays well, with a quality shine throughout. The sheetmetal is also in exceptional condition.
Custom dual exhaust features twin chrome tips exiting opposite ends of the bumper.
Both sides are straight when you peer down them.
The glass is in good condition throughout.
The driver's side displays a custom chromed mirror.
Power front disc brakes are up front.
The dash is painted and detailed, as you can see above. Also, the hood fits well and closes straight.
The doors, trunk, and hood open and close as they should.
The front end displays the custom cooling system consisting of an aluminum radiator, polished shroud and twin electric fans along with a well-prepared core support.
The interior was restored in very tasteful tweed with turquoise piping and accents. The door panels fit and show well. Also take note of the billet window cranks and interior door handle.

The trunk was custom upholstered to match the interior. It is complete with the spare tire/wheel and custom car cover. The battery is also rear-mounted.
Note the polished latch assembly on the trunk lid.
Look closely and you'll see a pressed pattern in the side trunk panels shown above.
The window wipes and weatherstripping was replaced throughout during the restoration of this quality '55 Post.
The engine compartment is extremely well detailed and this Chevy boasts a powerful punch. It is powered by a balanced and blueprinted 401 c.i. V8, backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Polished billet aluminum and chrome is abundant in this beautiful Tri-Five. This car features twin chrome horns, a custom aluminum A/C condenser, polished cast aluminum Chevrolet valve covers, polished aluminum air cleaner, polished aluminum Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, polished aluminum plug wire separators, chrome GM alternator, polished Zoops brackets, and much, much more.
The core support has been smoothed and fitted with a polished strip on top. The cooling system is a custom setup and works excellent. Note the aluminum radiator and components shown above.
The firewall, inner fenders and hood underside display the quality of the resto of this car. They are painted, clean and detailed. This is a well-built example and it shows in the craftsmanship.

The tweed upholstery shows very well front to back.
The dash displays custom billet aluminum trim along with white-face Dolphin gauges. A special center console was built to house the Pioneer CD stereo and center air condition vents. This car has been updated with modern air conditioning that works well.
Even the clock has been updated in this '55 Chevy Post.
This is a highly polished tilt steering column and custom billet steering wheel. The gearshift and gear indicator housing is also polished. The factory Chevrolet A/C & Heater controls are utilized to operate the updated air conditioning system.
The custom headliner is in excellent condition.
The glovebox door has been chromed.
Just under 5,000 miles have been logged on this quality restoration thus far.
