Chevrolet's BelAir was produced from 1950 until 1975. Of all
these years, the 1957 has to be the most recognizable. With
its low, sleek design, tail fins, and rocket-inspired design
cues the '57 Chevy is an American Classic since its
inception. This stunning car features new smoked glass with
vent window delete.
This example showcases a beautiful frame-off restoration
with a number of amenities incorporated during the recent
build.
The metallic blue base/clearcoat finish is beautiful. Any
stainless that was not perfect was replaced. The bumpers are
new as is the trim. This is a well done example with
exceptional stainless & chrome trim.
Power is courtesy of a detailed Chevrolet Crate ZZ4 350 V8
engine mated to a built 700R4 automatic overdrive
transmission.
Cooling duties are easily exceeded with a Griffin aluminum
radiator, twin electric fans, and a billet overflow tank.
Further inspection of the engine compartment will showcases
attention to detail. The inner fenders and specially crafted
core support were painted in grays to match the interior and
contrast against the blue metallic finish.
The undercarriage is beautifully detailed throughout. This
is a frame-off restored example with just over 1500 miles
logged and it shows.
This is a very comfortable car built to drive, show, and
enjoy. The interior is excellent. Open the door to classic
luxury with this '57. Driver's amenities include a tilt
steering column, modern air conditioning, power front
windows, and power rack & pinion steering.
The contrasting shades of gray show very well and are
complimented with matching seat belts and carpeted Chevrolet
script floor mats.
The front seat is by Glide Engineering with a fold down
armrest and reclining backs. This is a very comfortable car,
upholstered in shades of gray with painted details such as
the dash. This is a car that was completely disassembled
during the restoration. Wood grain accents adorn the dash in
addition to an updated Quartz clock that matches the Classic
Instrument gauges.
The dash features carefully chosen components throughout.
The gauge cluster showcases Classic Instrument '57 Chevy
gauges that include a speedometer, engine metering gauges,
and tachometer all integrated in the stock bezels. These
gauges feature a light gray background. The steering column
is a chromed tilt unit by Ididit, topped with a custom
steering wheel.
The custom upholstered door panels are beautifully done,
accompanied by polished stainless and power-operated driver
and passenger window switches.
In addition to the quality door panels, the door undersides
are painted, detailed, and clean. The soft rubber components
were replaced during the extensive frame-off restoration.
Aircraft-inspired design cues are evident throughout the
1957 Chevrolet's.
The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with the factory
rubber mat, fire extinguisher and a specially integrated
compartment housing the Optima battery, with a battery
cut-off switch close by.
1957 Chevrolet's were originally equipped with vent windows.
This example features a vent window elimination kit with
power operated front windows and new smoked glass.
The engine compartment is very clean, displaying painted and
detailed components. The engine accessories are driven by a
serpentine drive belt for ultimate reliability. Coupled with
the Automatic Overdrive Transmission, this is a car capable
of driving anywhere comfortably.
Stopping power is courtesty of a new 4-wheel power disc
braking system. The steering is very responsive, fitted with
power rack & pinion.
The hood underside is painted and detailed as well as the
correct bracing.
The undercarriage is in excellent condition. Only 1558 miles
have been logged on the restoration thus far and it shows.
Tubular A-Arms along with rack & pinion steering provide
excellent handling and response. The rear end is painted and
detailed. The engine & transmission undersides are clean and
dry. The custom dual exhaust system sounds excellent.

sound. The kickpanels
The clock is a Quartz movement, and it matches the Classic
Instrument gauges.
The original V.I.N identification plate is in place.
The smoked glass is in excellent condition. The
vent-window-less design gives this car an even sleeker look.
The paint displays a mirror-quality shine throughout.

disc brakes.
