Chevrolet's 1961 Impala rides on a 119 inch wheelbase. This
example sits right on custom wheels sized at 235/40ZR18s in
front & 245/40ZR20s in the rear.
The interior features two-tone red/white vinyl & cloth seating
that shows well throughout.
Standard Impala equipment included such luxury features as an
electric clock, parking brake warning light, back-up lights, de-luxe
window cranks, fingertip door releases, and extra long armrests
with built in safety reflectors.
The dash displays the distinctive Impala brightwork throughout.
The seating, dash, and door panels show well throughout as does
the headliner. This is a beautiful interior.
Under the hood is a 348 c.i.4bbl. V8. This engine runs strong.
The fuel pump has just been replaced. It is dressed in chromed
valve covers and a chrome breather. Power comes courtesy of a
chromed alternator. A driver friendly car, this Impala features
the Powerglide Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, and Power
Brakes.
The original firewall identification tag is in place. This was
originally an Adobe Beige car, always an Impala Hardtop Sport
Coupe. The V.I.N. plate is also in place.
This classic bubbletop Impala features dual rear antennas.
Close inspection of the exterior will reveal a professionally
done white finish that shows well throughout. There are a few
flaws on close inspection, primarily bubbling beginning along an
isolated area by the driver's rear wheel well (photographed).
The quarter panels, fenders, doors, hood, trunk and classic roof
are straight and very nice. The body panels fit well. This is a
tight car that is a pleasure to cruise in.
The exterior stainless, emblems, and bright work show
exceptionally well throughout.
The 348 engine breathes through dual exhaust pipes and sounds
excellent. The undercarriage is in good condition throughout.
