The restoration process began in 1994 and was completed in 1996 by its loving owner. Original parts were sought out throughout the extensive rebuild. Attention to detail is prevalent throughout this magnificent Chevrolet. This is a car that displays show quality cosmetics and excellent mechanics. It is an always dry climate example ready to show and enjoy. This car has amassed a literal room full of trophies so far, and is ready to add to the collection. This Impala has been featured on My Classic Car in Evansville, Indiana with Dennis Gauge in 2000. This car has won best of show throughout the southwest. It has brought home top honors in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Indiana.

The tail light gaskets are NOS pieces. The rear taillight panel is aluminum, surrounded by a chrome border, with an engine-turned surface for the SS models.

Triple plated show quality chrome work is abundant throughout this Impala. Note the "better than new" factory console. Also the inner and outer door handles have been triple chrome plated along with the front and rear bumpers. The seat back trim has also been triple chrome plated.

This fabulous correct interior features bucket seating, a show quality center console & shift plate. Note the optional rubber floor mats.

The newly designed "coved" instrument panel for 1963 featured the optional instrument panel pad. Note the SS exclusive machine-turned aluminum inserts on the instrument cluster too.
The engine compartment showcases the 327 c.i. Turbo Fire V8 engine. This SS optioned 250 horsepower 327 featured a 4bbl. carburetor and hydraulic camshaft along with a higher 11:1 compression thanks to the 2.02 double hump cylinder heads installed on this Impala. Powered by a Rochester 4bbl. carburetor, the date coded original carburetor is rebuilt and included as well. This correct HC suffix 250HP passenger car engine is detailed throughout. It was removed, disassembled and rebuilt during the extensive restoration. The original breather and valve covers are also included in addition to these quality chromed pieces. Tire firewall, inner fenders and core support are painted and detailed as well.



The cowl identification tag and vin tags is in place.

Lets take a trip back to 1963. The base price on Chevrolet's Impala was $3,075.00. This marginally-equipped example was priced at $3,888.05 on Selman Chevrolet's Orange, California showroom floor.

The exterior displays high quality original sheetmetal throughout. The finish is the correct shade of Palomar Red, ready for show. The body panels are correctly aligned throughout.

The signature machine turned Super Sport trim is prevalent throughout.

This Impala rides on its factory 14-inch wheels with show quality SS Spinner Hubcaps. The whitewall tires are Firestone FR440 Series P215/75R14s.

The Soft-Ray Tinted Glass shows well throughout, as do the weatherstrip seals.

The white power top is clean and detailed, featuring clean framework. It operates correctly and is accompanied with a snap cover.

Dual Outside Mirrors and a Non-Glare Inside Rear View Mirror were part of the optional Convenience Package.





The door panels are beautifully detailed and correct.



Crisp lines and long low styling were Impala signatures in the early 1960s. The 1963 model is prized among collectors for its stylish body.



The undercarriage is clean throughout. Notice the dual exhaust system and aluminum cased Powerglide automatic transmission.





The rear end is a posi-traction unit.

The trunk is very clean and detailed, complete with a matching spare wheel/tire and correct mats. This is an always dry climate example and it shows throughout.

The Soft-Ray tinted glass is in beautiful condition.
