The exterior showcases a beautiful Rangoon Red finish. Originally ordered in Dallas, Texas, this dry climate example was brought down to bare metal and refinished to high standards.

 

A well-appointed example, this Mustang Convertible features power steering, air conditioning, and upgraded 4-piston power disc brakes. Power is courtesy of this 289 4-bbl. V8 matched to a C4 automatic transmission. Originally a 2bbl. "C" code equipped Mustang, this car has been upgraded with a polished Aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM intake & 4bbl. carburetor. A Petronix Ignitor II ignition is paired with a flamethrower coil.

 

The interior has been restored in black & white pony upholstery.

 

The trim identification plate is in place. This car was originally Silver Blue Metallic with White & Blue Crinkle Vinyl Upholstery. It has been completely refinished in this striking combination.

 

This interior features functional factory gauges along with the optional Rally Pac tachometer & clock. This is a beautiful interior.

 

The power-operated black convertible top is fitted with a black snap vinyl boot.

The running horse inserts are part of the Pony interior package.

 

The Rangoon Red finish is in very good to excellent condition throughout. There are few flaws to find on this beautiful car.

 

Close inspection of the finish will confirm clean and detailed body panels throughout with a beautifully polished and waxed finish. The sheetmetal is in excellent condition. This has always been a dry climate Mustang and it shows.

 

The engine compartment is clean and detailed, featuring the original inner fenderwells, core support and firewall. The inner fender stamping matches the V.I.N. A high capacity aluminum radiator has been installed along with a stainless steel overflow tank. This 289 has been dressed in finned aluminum Ford racing valve covers and a chromed breather. Exhaust gases are expelled through reliable factory cast iron manifolds to a free-flowing dual exhaust system.
