A standard V8 Malibu Sport Coupe from the factory, this
Chevelle has been transformed into a great looking SS 396.

As always, we would like to thank our friends at the Frontiers Of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field, for their great background for some of our photos. Please visit their great museum when you're in the Dallas area.
The Chevelle has been outfitted with the correct SS 396 hood.
We are proud to present this 396 Chevelle. Its 396 Long Block was rebuilt early this year, as was the transmission. The engine is bored .030 over, there was a complete valve job performed. This Chevelle runs great.
The chrome is all excellent on the 66
The classic 66 lines of this Chevelle are desirable to many.

1966 saw a complete restyle of the Chevelle on the previous frame that included smooth contours, a broad new grille and bumper treatment, and curved side windows. Bulging rear fender lines and a "flying buttress" roofline (tunneled into the "C" pillar) were highlights of the '66 hardtops, shared with other GM "A" body models. The new body reflected the "Coke bottle" body shape that became the fad for American cars in the mid-1960s. A hardtop-styled Sport Sedan joined the Malibu series. Chevelles continued in 300, 300 Deluxe, and Malibu trim. Available engines were a 327-cubic-inch V8 instead of either of the sixes, or the mid-level option, a 220-horsepower 283-cubic-inch V8. Judicious attention to the options list could add a tachometer, mag-style wheel covers, and sintered-metallic brake

All body panels line up well.

The doors are solid underneath.

The trunk is clean and rust free

The interior has been redone and looks great.

There is a bad section on the dash with the pint chipped quite badly. This is the only real obvious flaw we found.

Originally a code 746A Red Cloth and Vinyl interior, the Chevelle now has code 747 SS 396 Red Vinyl.

The body was originally code CC Irmine White and is now code RR Regal Red.

The engine is dressed with Mildon valve cover gaskets.

The original trim tag and VIN tag are in place.

The undercarriage is solid and clean with no signs of rust.
