Induction is courtesy of dual Holley 4bbl. carburetors atop a polished aluminum intake manifold. Exhaust gases are expelled through ceramic coated headers to a ceramic coated sidepipe exhaust system. An aluminum radiator keeps things cool in the Texas heat. It is aided by a large electric fan mounted in the front.

The photo above is the build of this car in progress. LoneStar Performance is responsibly for much of the build. This high quality Cobra 427 recreation is not a home-built example.
The 9-inch Ford rear end and heavy duty tube chassis is on display underneath this beast.
This stroked 490 cubic inch V8 is a serious engine. This car is not built for an amateur.

The Lone Star LS427 frame is constructed of 2" by 4" rectangular steel tube with x-bracing for extra torsional strength and rigidity. The LS chassis also empoys custom-engineered, unequal-length tulular steel front upper and lower control arms and coil-overs in the front and 4-bar link and Panhard rod and coil-overs in the rear. There is a custom made 17-gallon fuel tank incorporated as well. The frame was made to accomadate the heavy duty 9-inch Ford rear end. I want to mention that Lone Star frames have been tested by Taylor Engineering (Formula One Design Team) at over 1,250 lbs of pressure to flex a single degree. There are Lone Star LS427s making 700+ horsepower with absolutely no frame flex.

The brilliant yellow finish shows very well throughout, with only a few very minor imperfections on close inspection, notably chips around the rear wheel wells photographed below. The Lone Star LS427 body utilizes Vinyl Ester Resins in a hand-laid tri-axial pattern. Most replicas are built from a polyester fiberglass similar to what early Corvette bodies were made of. Vinyl Ester is much stronger, more flexible, lighter, and resists the blistering that poly resins are prone to. Vinyl Ester has almost double the heat tolerance, assuring the paint and body will continue to show excellent for decades to come.

This brilliant yellow finish is complimented with artic white racing stripes with gold pinstriping.

The interior was designed to accomodate taller individuals. The leather seating features stitched Cobra inserts along with RCI race harnesses. The steering column also tilts for easier entrances and exits.

The woodgrain dash features full VDO white face instrumentation along with a Clarion CD stereo. There is a Harmon Kardon amplifier & Kicker speakers professionally mounted in the trunk.
The trunk itself features dual batteries along with the above mentioned sound equipment upgrades.
The LS427 rides on a 94-Inch Wheelbase. These Shelby Style Wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT II rubber sized at P275/60s in the rear and P235/60s up front.
Stopping power is courtesy of 4-wheel disc brakes.
The side pipes sound NASTY. Be sure to play our video/sound clip located at the beginning of our presentation to see this 'lil Cobra in action.

The chromed roll bar and bumpers are in excellent condition.
The doors, hood, and trunk open and close correctly.
Note the chrome hinges throughout. This is a quality build.
Engine extra's include a polished aluminum intake manifold, chromed valve covers, MSD ignition, and more.
LoneStar's LS427 data plates are intact. This car was completed in 2002.
