This classic Toyota Land Cruiser displays a full body off restoration, completed in 2008. We have a file full of receipts as well as photos detailing the extent of the restoration. Cool Cruisers and Specter Performance were the primary companies used for parts. This 4-Wheel-Drive Toyota is in excellent condition

The heavy duty FJ-40 series Land Cruiser was introduced in 1960 and was soon America's best selling Toyota. Global production surpassed 50,000 vehicles in 1965. The popular and durable FJ40 series was produced through the early 1980s.

The interior features restored upholstery in black vinyl with red piping, seating front to back along with full seat belts. During the restoration, the interior was gutted, painted and the flooring was rhino-lined.

The instrumentation is spartan at best and functional. The dash retains its utilatarian nature. It was disassembled and refinished during the restoration along with the rest of this classic Land Cruiser. The windshield is new. All weather strip and rubber seals were replaced during the restoration along with the speedometer gear.

The 4-Wheel-Drive mechanism works as it should. This FJ40 also features a heater and new heater core.

This Land Cruiser rides on 15-inch factory steel wheels wrapped in Maxxis Mudder Buckshot tires with a matching spare & cover. The locking hubs are by WARN.

The hardtop is in excellent condition. The headliner has also been replaced.

Under the hood is the stout inline 6 cylinder. This 3.8 Liter powerplant runs smooth. The ignition system has been converted to electronic. This is the original engine. The starter is new. The Weber carburetors have been rebuilt.  The plugs, wires, etc. have been replaced recently. The 3-speed manual transmission operates as it should too. Originally column shifted, it has been converted to a floor shift.

The undercarriage is in excellent condition throughout, showcasing restored suspension components and new shocks along with a solid underbody. Cool Cruisers and Specter Performance is responsible for the majority of the parts used in the build.
