Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this Marti Report documented 1967 Ford Mustang GTA 2+2 Fastback. This car showcases quality paint, mechanicals, and factory options. This car was last purchased 18 years ago as an anniversary present to a blessed husband. It is an absolute pleasure to drive and shows remarkably well. The GTA was the GT Mustang equipped with an automatic transmission. These GT's carried special GTA badging. The GTA was only available in 1967, the '68 model year GT automatics were simply "GTs" again.  The GT Equipment group for '67 includes the grille mounted fog lamps, power front disc brakes, dual exhaust with chromed quad outlets, a GT gas cap, rocker panel stripes, and GT or in this case, GTA emblems.

This is a well-optioned factory Mustang GT, complete with the Marti Report, door identification plate & buck tag. The Marti Report is basically a copy of the factory build & options record. The buck tag is the metal tag affixed underhood while the car was being assembled, detailing features. The buck tag seldom remains and is a great way to document your classic Mustang. The 289 "A" code 4bbl. V8 is believed original to this Mustang.  Fly Low or Fly High, many of our photos of this Fastback GTA were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom.

The 1967 Mustang boasted several styling changes. This example displays original sheetmetal throughout with a quality repaint of the original Springtime Yellow. The styled steel wheels are another original feature. They have been fitted with B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires (215/70R14s). 1967 also showcased a newly designed interior. The interior features the standard black vinyl upholstery in excellent condition. The dash is clean and detailed. The factory instruments are all in place along with the trim. An aftermarket AM/FM digital stereo has been professionally installed. Factory options include the deluxe seat belts, courtesy light group, and center console.

The GTA was an automatic transmission equipped GT, the designation would only be used in 1967. Under the hood is the "A" code 289 4bbl. V8. This engine is believed to be original to this car. The intake manifold is also correct, C60E-9425-B. This powerplant is factory rated at 225 horsepower. Induction is courtesy of a Holley 4bbl. carburetor. This is a strong running engine. The carburetor was recently tuned. The factory "buck tag" is in place. The original sheetmetal is in good condition throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support. The undercarriage displays solid frame rails & flooring throughout. The exhaust system features a custom dual setup with the correct for the GT quad chromed tips. The power front disc brakes were standard equipment on the GT in '67. The rear end is a 3.00 geared unit according to the factory Marti Report.
