The Mar-K wood bed kit is stunning to say the least. The paint quality is consistent throughout this truck. There is a mirror-like finish throughout the bed sides, back, and tailgate inside & out. As you can see, the high degree of detail work that went into this truck started right at the framerails and moved outward to the exterior skin. The chassis was masterfully refinished and restored to new. It has been coated in Eastwood chassis black as have the suspension components. The engine compartment displays the Chevy ZZ4 crate engine. This engine bay is dressed with chrome and show quality paint that stretches throughout the firewall. The engine has been tuned supremely. The ZZ4 aluminum intake is complimented by a Holley 750 CFM carburetor. A GM Hot Cam kit provides the perfect idle and power curve. The shifting duties are courtesy of a built Corvette 700R4 automatic transmission with a 2,400 rpm stall converter. The 12-bolt rear end has been built with Moser Axles and Auburn 3.73 gears. GM front disc brakes were incorporated for optimum stopping power. A Borgeson quick-ratio steering box makes for an excellent handling truck. This '67 is a true pleasure to drive. "Trailer Queen" or not, that's the question! It has always been kept indoors and stored correctly since this top shelf restoration. There is a near endless amount of words to described this amazing truck. The interior is a perfect testament to the quality of work and time spent on this truck. When new, these trucks were a no-frills tin box on the inside. It took a massive amount of fabrication to bring this trucks interior to level its at. |
