In 2009, the engine was removed from the truck, disassembled resealed, degreased and returned to the truck like new. The transmission was also removed and the linkage repaired. At this same time, the ball joints were replaced. The truck was also treated to a new speedometer cable.

Under the hood is the strong and reliable factory inline 6 cylinder engine fed by the Rochester Mon-Jet carburetor. We have just installed a new Classic Auto Air Air Conditioning System as well. The firewall, inner fenders are core support are clean and detailed original sheetmetal, indicative of this truck's dry climate life.

This truck has been meticulously serviced on a regular basis and runs and drives as new.

The interior features custom plush tan seating along with a center console and original gauges. A Chevrolet bowtie cassette stereo has been installed as well. The kickpanel speakers are fitted in custom moulded kickpanels. The air conditioning features sleek underdash vents and is by Classic Auto Air.

The CST series of pickups was introduced in 1967, a far advancement of the previous generation. Gone was the general assumption of a pickup as a strictly utilitarian vehicle. These trucks handled better and were more road friendly for the commute. Dealer advertisments of the time quoted these trucks as "new concepts in personalized pickups." This fleetside shortbed rides on a 115 inch wheelbase and features the standard 6 1/2 foot steel bed.

This Chevrolet Truck rides on 15-inch steel wheels/hubcaps wrapped in P235/75/R15 series radial tires. in October, the truck was treated to an entire brake job. New master cylinder, shoes lines, etc.


The doors, tailgate, and hood open and close with ease and fit right.
This truck runs down the road as good as it looks.
