This classic GTO features custom light blue metallic base/clearcoat paint over a very solid and straight original body. The 400 cubic inch V8 has been upgraded with an aluminum Edelbrock Torker intake & 4bbl. carburetor. The interior showcases factory bucket seating and accompaniments. The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the location for many of our photoshoots. Be sure to visit the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is located right up the road. The light blue metallic paint is in good condition throughout with only a few chips and imperfections. There is a notable chip on the nose you can see. The body is straight and the panels align throughout. This is an attractive GTO.
The hood tachometer is functional. The black vinyl top is in very good condition as is the glass throughout. The GTO boasted an extensive re-styling for '68, riding on a 112-inch wheelbase and featuring the new Endura composite front bumper. The wheels of choice on this goat are the factory PMD Rally wheels fitted with 225/70R14 raised white letter Delta GT Road Max radial tires. Open the doors to high performance today, from yesterday. The interior showcases factory black vinyl bucket seating in very good condition. The back seat is also in good shape.
The dash retains the factory gauges, steering column and steering wheel. An AM/FM cassette stereo has been installed. The woodgrain veneer paneling on the instrument cluster and glove box door is showing some age. The dash pad is in good condition, with a few minor hairline cracks starting. Under the hood is the 400 cubic inch XS code V8 with breathing upgrades. An aluminum Edelbrock intake has been installed along with a matching Edelbrock 4 bbl. carburetor. This car is equipped with power front disc brakes and power steering. It is a true GTO. The engine compartment is clean and detailed. The sheetmetal is original throughout this firewall, inner fenders and core support.
The undercarriage showcases the custom H-pipe dual exhaust system along with the previously rebuilt front end. The flooring is very solid throughout along with the factory frame. The engine and transmission undersides look good as does the rear differential. The original trim identification plate is in place. This is a color change from original April Gold. The factory VIN plate is also in place. The hide-away doors are not working, but the lights come on. The trunk is clean and detailed.
