Underneath the hood lurks this professionally built 454 V8 engine. The block was bored .030 over to equal 468 cubes. The forged rotating assembly consists of TRW forged pistons along with a steel crank. A high volume oil pump keeps pressure in check. LS6 cylinder heads have been fitted with Manley valves. An aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake and Holley 750 cfm double pumper carburetor feed the fuel. A performance Crane Cam & Roller Rockers are courtesy of this beautiful idle sound. The firewall and inner fenders are glossy painted and detailed. The original cowl trim identification tag is still in place as well. The underbody dispalys solid flooring throughout as well as a stout factory 12-bolt posi-trac rear end. Front & rear sway bars keep handling in check. Note the boxed lower control arms. These were specific to the Super Sport package. Althought not a true SS, this car retains the physical and cosmetic attributes of the Super Sport package. The front end has been rebuilt with new bushings as has the rear suspension. The exhaust has recently been replaced as has the gas tank sending unit. |
