Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this beautifully restored 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 396. This Muncie 4-speed backed classic muscle car features a host of recent restoration work performed. This car handles excellent thanks to upgraded front & rear suspension components. The exterior is finished in custom red with white SS stripes while the interior retains the correct black vinyl headrest bucket seating. The paint and body show well and the mechanicals are strong. The 396 big block engine is a stout '68 truck block, not original to the car. We believe this has always been an SS396 car. Be sure to play our video and listen to this car in action.


Fly Low in this Chevelle or Fly High at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum. Many of our photos of this classic Chevelle were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. The exterior displays a professional color change from this cars original Butternut Yellow to this brilliant red. The body is straight throughout. The doors, hood, and trunk align correctly. The wheels of choice are the factory 14-inch rims fitted with classic B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires all the way around. This is a very attractive Chevelle.


Open the doors to 1969. The interior displays exceptionally well. The factory headrest bucket seating features new upholstery while the carpeting has also been replaced. Dynamat insulation has been installed throughout the interior for a quiet interior and heat protection. A Hurst shifter has been installed along with a backup light switch. The gauges are correct, including the factory tachometer. The dash gauge cluster has been replaced along with the dash wiring harness. Many trim items were replaced during the restoration along with the lighter, dimmer switch, speakers, etc. The radio and antenna have been replaced. This is just a great looking car. An ididit tilt steering column has been installed.


Under the hood is the stout big block 396 engine. This powerplant is not original to the car, it is a '68 truck block fitted with a mild performance cam, updated intake manifold and Holley 4bbl. carburetor. A Holley fuel pump has been installed along with a braided stainless fuel line with a filter to the carburetor.An aftermarket Vintage brand air conditioning system has been professionally installed. Also the power steering pump has been replaced along with the power steering hoses.. Chrome pullies were fitted on the crank and water pump. Custom orange valve covers have been installed as well. The alternator has been reconditioned for regulator removal (reliability)


The original trim identification plate is intact and legible as is the VIN plate. The engine compartment is clean and detailed. The passenger side inner fender has been replaced. The sheetmetal is in excellent condition throughout the inner fenders, firewall and core support. Cooling duties are more than taken care of by an aluminum Griffin radiator & dual electric fans. One of the things that sets this Chevelle apart are the suspension modifications. This car is built to handle like a modern car and the ride quality is just excellent. The underbody displays a host of upgrades. The front A-arms were replaced with tubular units, while the front and rear sway bars are aftermarket. The front springs have been replaced. The tie rod ends and idler arm has been replaced. The rear trailing arms have been replaced as well. The front and rear braking system has been rebuilt. The 12-bolt differential was overhauled with new seals and 3.36 ratio gearing. The U-Joints have been replaced. The flooring shows well front to back as does the frame. The steering box was also replaced. The trunk has been clean and detailed, with fresh carpeting installed.
