Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this mild custom 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible. Over $15,000 was spent at Frisco, Texas Automotive in 2011 on an extensive mechanical restoration with verifying receipts for the work performed. The new late model 350 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission was installed. The exterior has been massaged with the full black-out treatment to match the black base/clearcoat paint finish.  Fly Low or Fly High, many of our photos of this Malibu ragtop were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, Texas area.

The exterior features a black base/clearcoat finish over an exceptionally straight body. The bumpers are blacked out front to back. The door handles are also painted with textured black paint. Under the hood is the latter GM crate 350 V8, installed by Frisco Automotive in 2011. At that time, the built 700R4 automatic transmission was also installed. Recent work performed includes a professionally installed vintage air conditioning system with receipts & replaced power steering pump. Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal solid original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. The underhood insulation has also been replaced.

The original cowl identification plate is in place. The VIN plate is also in place. The interior features a Super Sport Chevelle gauge cluster with the factory tachometer. An aftermarket AM/FM Stereo is also installed. The seating of choice are these form-fitting Recaro racing type vinyl covered seats with the stock console & horseshoe shifter between them. The rear seat is correct and in good condition as well. There are seatbelts front to back. The Nitto NT555 Radials are in great shape all around. The rear tires are sized at 285/40ZR18s while the fronts are sized at 245/40ZR18s.

The underbody showcases a good solid original frame throughout. The rear end is a 10-bolt unit with single leaf springs and open trailing arms. The front end has drum brakes as does the rear. The A-frames and shocks look to be in good condition. This Malibu drives down the road as it should. The header dual exhaust system sounds great. Be sure to play our video/sound clip.  The black convertible top is in good condition throughout, manually operated. This car just sits right on its 18-Inch BOSS wheels. Closer  inspection of the paint will reveal a really good paint job with few flaws. This is a car that can drive to the car show.
