Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 This amazing 1970
Plymouth Barracuda is the result of over $300,000
documented dollars spent and 2,200+ labor intensive
hours invested to create this very special one of a kind
'70 HEMI 'CUDA. This is your opportunity to own the
premier American Muscle Machine. Less than 300 miles
have been logged on this spectacular show quality muscle
car. 6.1 Liter HEMI POWER
by Indy Cylinder Head Indy Cylinder Head's
crate 6.1 Liter Hemi V8 is an excellent high performance
engine with such features as : fully CNC ported 6.1
Indy cylinder heads / 2.08 x 1.60 Valves / Compstar 4340
crank / Compstar H Beam Rods / Mahle Coated Pistons /
6.1 Intake CNC Port Matched Inside & Outside Polished /
ARP Main, Head Studs & More. This specially tuned
powerplant produces approximately 600 horsepower and 600
Ft-Lbs. of tire-shredding torque. Induction is
courtesy of dual Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetors atop an
aluminum high performance intake manifold. Exhaust gases
are expelled in a hurry through specially fabricated
long tube headers to a polished exhaust system. Further
inspection of the engine compartment will showcase the
attention to detail throughout this engine bay. The
firewall, inner fenders, and core support were prepared
and painted along with each steel component. Cooling
duties are taken care of by a polished high capacity
aluminum radiator, polished billet overflow, and dual
electric fans. The engine has been detailed to match the
car. This is a beautiful machine, just as our high
resolution photos depict. This vehicle is
striking, displaying a rotisserie nut & bolt restoration
and beyond. We are proud to display this '70 Barracuda
on our showroom floor. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is
located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas
75235. We are open to the public 6 days out of each
week. Walk-in visitors and inspections by appointment
are welcomed and encouraged. A labor of love,
this '70 Barracuda features over 1,000 detailed photos
of the restoration process from start to finish. This
car was specially built by Sandersons Custom and
Conversion Inc. in Pilot Point, Texas. We have hundreds
of pages affixed in a special binder that detail all
parts used and receipts for the build. Approximately
$300,000 has been invested in this one-off creation.
From the chemically dipped sheetmetal components to the
polished exhaust system, no bolt was left unturned in
this STUNNING restoration. By the way, the bent "cuda "
emblem has been replaced since these photos. This luxury laden
interior is still raw American Muscle. The Recaro Tread
Topline seating features custom leather-wrapped
upholstery with custom racing harnesses for the driver,
passenger, and rear occupants. The seats are adjustable
with sliders & feature power operated adjustments for
the driver & passenger. This Barracuda has been fitted
with power windows as well. The steering wheel
is custom billet aluminum and leather featuring a custom
"Barracuda" flush mounted horn button. The steering
column is tilt operated. The custom gauge cluster houses
Autometer Pro Comp gauges that include a 160mph
speedometer, 10,000rpm tachometer, fuel level gauge,
water termperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Sound is courtesy of
Kenwood, featuring a CD head unit and a specially
prepared trunk outfitted with a Kenwood amplifier and
speaker assembly. The familiar Pistol
Grip shifter goes through the gears with authority. This
classic shifter is mated to a modern TKO 5-Speed Heavy
Duty manual transmission that transmits power to a
specially built Dana 60 rear axle assembly. Plymouth's 1970
model Barracuda enjoyed an extensive re-style. Today the
"Cuda is arguably the most popular classic muscle car on
the planet. This custom built example gives a suiting
homage to Plymouth's Pony car. This 'Cuda was
originally powered by a 318 c.i. 4bbl. The Barracuda
could be ordred with anything from an economical 6
cylinder engine to the not-so-economical, fire-breathing
dual 4bbl. 426 cubic inch Hemi V8. This special car has
also been fitted with a Shaker hood assembly and the '71
Cuda's desirable shark tooth grill assembly. It took 3
doner cars to get this grill just right. The Shaker hood
option was first offered by Plymouth in 1970. The body boasts the
famed "Go-Wing'" along with the Hemi Billboard stripes.
The paint and body is excellent on this car. This is a
car that was prepared from bare metal. This stance is
courtesy of the heavily massaged custom suspension setup
and professionally polished Fiske wheels. These aluminum
18-inch wheels are fitted with B.F. Goodrich G-Force
Radials sized at 295/35ZR18s in back and 275/35ZR18s in
front. Stopping power is done with a custom 4-Wheel
Power Baer disc brake setup with a hydro-boost power
brake booster. The undercarriage is
show quality. The rotisserie restoration really shines
underneath. The suspension is a special set-up by
Sandersons Custom and Conversion. This is the level II
suspension package front to back, aided with the Baer
4-Wheel Disc Braking System. The ceramic coated exhaust
system sounds excellent and is fitted with polished
flowmaster mufflers. The rear end is the stout Dana 60
unit. I want to mention that the categorized receipts
and details of the work performed is 3-inches thick.
