The exterior bright work and molding shows well throughout.
A look down either side reveals exceptionally straight and
well-aligned body panel fit and finish.
Open the door to 1972.
The interior is in excellent condition, highlighted by the Custom
Deluxe Houndstooth seating, finished to match the exterior's paint
scheme.
The dash is uncut and beautifully detailed, showcasing the restored
factory gauges, all functional. The AM radio has been replaced with
a latter digital display AM/FM radio.
The glove box door still has the original option identification
decal in place and legible.
The door identification plate is in place.
The closer you get to this truck, the better it looks. This is truly
a high quality truck ready to drive and enjoy.
This fleetside sits on factory 15-inch Rally wheels wrapped in B.F.
Goodrich Radial T/A rubber (255/70R15s). This model has a 115-inch
wheelbase.
The egg crate grille was altered, with the bowtie badge prominently
displayed in the center.
The Cheyenne trim level added a cargo lamp, cab headliner, extra
sound insulation, and upgrades to seating and interior trim.
Engine options started with a base 6 cylinder and worked up this 350
4bbl. rated at 250 horsepower. This 350 (3970010 casting) has been
rebuilt and runs strong. The engine compartment is clean and
detailed, displayed an excellent firewall, inner fenders, and core
support.
The undercarriage displays solid original flooring throughout. This
is an always dry climate truck and it shows. The rocker panels, cab
corners, and floorboards are in exceptionally nice, preserved
condition.
These half-ton trucks utilized a semi-floating rear axle. Front disc
brakes and rear drum brakes were standard equipment.
The glass is in excellent condition throughout. Originally equipped
with Soft-Ray tinted glass, it also has a professional tint. The
rubber seals and window felts have been replaced. The window
mechanisms operate correct and easily.
This truck showcases attention to detail throughout. The door sills
are polished. The door jambs are very clean and detailed. The
latching mechanisms operate perfectly. The doors open and close very
easily.
Looking down the hood will reveal a mirrored reflection. The
base/clearcoat finish shows very well throughout.
The inside of the shortbed is painted in a protective coating. It is
solid and straight throughout. The tailgate is also in excellent
condition.
