The white exterior shows well throughout. This car has been repainted once and well maintained. There are minor chip touch-ups on close inspection. The original sheetmetal is in excellent condition throughout this dry climate Texas car. There is one shallow indentation if you look closely near the bottom of the driver's side door above.

The dark green padded vinyl top is in excellent condition. All of the glass shows well and the power windows work correctly.

Open the door to luxury. This beautiful Lincoln features quality leather seating throughout along with plush carpeting, rubber mats, and a clean and detailed instrument cluster & dash.

The dash features very nice and functional original instrumentation, including the beautiful Cartier clock, first offered as standard equipment in the 1970 Continental. The original 3-spoke steering wheel shows well.

The genuine leather seating is exceptionally clean and very nice throughout front to back.

Under the hood is the powerful 460 c.i. V8 engine. This powerplant was factory rated at 365 horsepower. Lincoln was quite proud of the Continental Mark II & a plaque is prominently displayed underhood. This example features many receipts of mechanical upkeep dating into the 1990s. In the last several years the carburetor has been rebuilt and an electric choke installed. Also the fuel system has been gone through. The gas tank was removed and clean. The fuel pump has been replaced. The power steering system has been gone through. Also, the air conditioning system has been serviced and repaired as needed. It blows cold as it should. The braking system has been gone through and a new master cylinder installed. Much of the work was performed at Clear Lake Auto Service in Webster, Texas with verifying receipts.

The undercarriage displays exceptionally solid original flooring and framework throughout. When the Lincoln Continental Mark 3 was designed, Lincoln engineers stretched the 2-door hardtop body on Ford's Thunderbird frame and made revisions as needed. This example features rebuilt front suspension components including upper and lower ball joint replacement. The control arm bushings have been replaced. The brake drums have been serviced. The strut rod bushings have been replaced along with the sway bar end links. This is tight, good driving car thanks to the 2,000+ spent in suspension maintanence in late 2007.

The factory optioned AM/FM stereo radio is still in place & accompanied by the switch operated power antenna.

The Cartier clock is a very tasteful timepiece and it does work.

The concealed healights operate correctly. Continental Mark 3 designers payed close attention to the Rolls Royce grilles when they designed this magnificent car.

A close look down either quarter panels will confirm an exceptionally straight and solid vehicle throughout. Treat yourself to the pinnacle of luxury from 1971. There is a shallow ding photographed on the driver's side lower door if you look closely.

The backside showcases sculpted styling cues used in the original Continental Marks of the 1950s. Those hand-built examples were a very limited production and were truly a car of the stars.

The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with a full factory service manual set and car cover. We also have the owners manual, warranty booklet, and the original door decal.
