1972 would be last year of this classic
bodied Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The
442 was once again an option on the
Cutlass. This 350 4bbl. powered '72
Cutlass is a pleasure to cruise in.
This classic Oldsmobile displays an
exterior repaint that is in decent
condition. This is a solid, driver
quality car. There are a number of
knicks and imperfections in the paint.
The door jambs and trunk underside still
show the original gold finish.
The doors, trunk, and hood open and
close correctly. The body panels line up
straight.
The power top operates as it should and
seals up well throughout.
The interior features re-upholstered
seating along with the original
instruments and dash. The dash features
the original gauge cluster along with a
Sony CD Stereo system installed in the
ashtray, hidden when the door is
lowered.
The door panels are in exceptional
condition throughout..
The door undersides are solid,
indicative of a dry climate car.
Under the hood is the stock 350 c.i.
4bbl. V8. This optional 4bbl. backed V8
is rated at 200 horsepower and 300
ft-lbs of torque. The engine compartment
is original and retains its exceptional
firewall, inner fenders, and core
support. The original option
identification plate is also in place.
The undercarriage shows well, the
flooring and framework is solid
throughout as is the engine,
transmission, and rear end.
15-Inch Cragar S/S wheels are wrapped in
Road Hugger Radial G/T tires sized at
225/70R15 on all four corners.
The Cutlass Supreme was available as a
notchback, fastback or convertible in
'72.
The trunk is clean and in good shape.
