This is a two-owner Texas Beetle Convertible. The 1st owner kept the car in storage and rarely drove it, nor did the 2nd owner. The odometer reading of just over 25,000 miles is actual. 1979 would be the last model year of the classic American VW Beetle convertible until the introduction of the New Beetle decades later. This quality example is a pleasure to own and show.

The exterior displays classic Volkswagen style. The brilliant green metallic finish is in exceptional condition throughout this well-restored Beetle. You have to look for the few flaws, note the ding above, just behind the driver's door.

Open the door to 1979. The tan upholstery is in very good condition front to back, with a small puncture shown above on the rear seat.

The dash displays the original speedometer cluster along with a hard dash cover. The Spartan instruments are working, including the clock. The VW Beetle was one of the most useful designs in the history of automobiles.

This classic '79 Beetle Convertible rides on an 88-inch wheelbase.

Just over 21 million Beetles were produced. It is a cultural phenomenon and icon to this day.

The paint shows very well throughout. There are some minor imperfections on closer inspection of this otherwise quality paint.

The tan soft top seals up well throughout, there is one small tear that has been sealed with silicone.

The 1585 cc engine is factory rated at 48 horsepower. This engine compartment is clean and in good condition throughout, receiving regular maintenance. A new fuel pump and lines have recently been installed.

The doors, engine cover, and hood open and close correctly.

The door panels are clean and detailed.

The door undersides are in excellent condition.

The trunk is in good condition throughout, complete with the spare tire/wheel.

The undercarriage looks to be solid throughout, displaying the original flooring.
