1982 GMC JIMMY

Go Back....

.

This GMC was sold originally by the GM dealer in Wichita, Kansas and the current owner purchased it from the Gm dealer's lot in 1985. He then moved to Texas where the Jimmy has resided ever since.

Used as the family car when the kids were growing up, the condition of the Jimmy will amaze you. It does actually have 153,707 miles on it, but with the rebuilt engine and the constant maintenance, you will not believe it.

The Jimmy is the Sierra Classic. When the owner had it repainted he didn't put the emblems back on because they were fading and just didn't look good on the newly painted body.

In 1998 the owner treated the Jimmy to a repaint of it's Carmine Red original color. He also removed the dash pad and sent it to Just Dashes in California to be restored.

Since 2001 when the owner bought a new car, the Jimmy has been driven very little.

We would like to thank our friends at the Frontiers Of Flight Museum for the great background seen in some of our photos. Please stop in and visit this great museum when you are in the Dallas area.

We have the original glove box sticker and owners manual.

This great Jimmy has never been in an accident and has been extremely well taken care of by its owner.

We are sure that

We are sure that there aren't that many 1982 GMC Jimmys around that are in this condition. This is your opportunity to own a very nice vehicle.

There is a custom cover.

In 1990 the engine was treated to a complete overhaul because the owner felt it was burning a little too much oil. It now burns literally no oil at all.

The original a/c compressor was changed once over the years, and the a/c works great.

You can see by the engine compartment how well this GMC has been cared for.

There was no food or sodas allowed in this immaculate truck!

Other than the dash being restorer in the 90s as we mentioned before, the interior is completely original.

The original factory 31 gallon gas tank is in very good condition.

The transmission has always shifted well and has not had any leaks. The owner did install a deep cast oil pan to give the transmission more fluid and help to keep it cooler so that it would last longer. It seems to have worked, because to this day he has never had an issue with the tranny.
