Buick's muscle car oriented Regal T-Type & Grand National was at its best in 1986-87. These turbo-charged, intercooled rocket ships received noted internal upgrades in 1986. This car has been take to an even greater level of reliability and horsepower. We have several boxes with the original parts that are included along with new turbocharged and intercooled badging.

This special engine features forged internals consisting of JE Pistons. A special Comp. Roller cam is paired with with Comp Roller Lifters & pushrods. The cylinder heads have been built and fitted with upgraded springs and manley valves after received the 3-angle valve job. The heads were surfaced, the block square decked, bored and line-honed. This is a balanced and blueprinted assembly with ARP fasteners. I also want to mention that over 4,200 was spent on building a special 200R4 automatic transmission with heavy-duty internals and a 2800 stall converter less than 2,000 miles ago.

The turbocharger is a Precision 6262E Ball Bearing Turbo with a Heavy Duty 18-30PSI actuator. It is accompanied by a special alcohol injection system along with polished upgraded piping. Exhaust gases are expelled in a hurry through the custom exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers and a cut-out pipe with plate.

The exterior features a nice black finish, recently gone through. The paint shows very well throughout with only minor imperfection.

The trunk lid has a ding right in the center of it. That is the most noticable spot on this very slick exterior.

A dry climate example, the underbody is exceptionally solid throughout. You'll note the special air bags in the rear to stiffen the chassis under racing conditions, as well as the custom exhaust system, finned aluminum transmission pan, and more. The floors are excellent.

Open the doors to 1986. This is the original interior is very good condition, there are some flaws such as a few splits on the passenger seat bottom.

The dash and controls are easily accessible and legible. All systems are functional including the alcohol injection, scanmaster tool, and Autometer Boost Gauge.

The back seat is excellent.

The door panels show well.

The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with the spare, equipment, and option identification decal.

Back in Black, the Grand National is as known for its sinister appearance as its legendary performance
