The Porsche 944 is a sports car built by Porsche from 1982 to 1991. It was built on the same platform as the 924, although 924 productions continued through 1988. The 944 was intended to last into the 1990s, but major revisions planned for a 944 S3 model were eventually rolled into the 968 instead, which replaced the 944. The 944 was a successful model and was available as both a coupe and cabriolet in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms.

In 1987, the 944 S was introduced. The 944S featured a normally aspirated, dual overhead cam 16 valve 192 PS (141 kW; 189 hp) version of the 2.5 litre engine. This marked the first use of four valves per cylinder heads in the 944 series. Performance was quoted as 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.8 seconds and 230 km/h (140 mph) top speed.

Dual air bags were optional on the 944S, as was ABS

This is a 2 owner car and although the original owner was in New York, there is no evidence of rust and the car was very well taken care of. We have receipts from the first owner from 2007 when he spent over $4000 on improvements and maintenance.

It was serviced in May of this year as well. All work performed by Auto Hans of Addison. We have receipts totaling about $3,000.

The paint is in good condition, showing some minor imperfections like surface scratches and few little road chip touch ups.

The dash has some cracks from the sun after 24 years, but the owner actually has a donor 944 with a bad engine that has black interior and he is willing to let that car go with this car if you so desire and the car meets reserve.

Rear seating is in excellent condition.
