The flagship 560SL made its debut in 1986, replacing the 380SL. This is a powerful classic luxury convertible in very good condition. By 1988, the sticker price approached $60,000 for Mercedes-Benz muscular 560SL. This example displays factory base/clearcoat silver metallic paint and blue leather interior. The factory alloy wheels and tires are in good condition. The 5.6 litre V8 engine runs smooth and feels very powerful, paired with the 4-speed automatic transmission. This car is complete with its original books/manuals, hardtop and blue convertible soft top. 

The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the fitting location for many of our photos. Be sure to visit the historic Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. The exterior paint and body show very well. The doors, hood, and trunk are correctly aligned. These are well-built cars. The wheel well molding/lip is dented, shown above on this fender. The auxiliary hardtop fastens snugly into position and the paint is excellent. The original headliner is also in great shape. The blue convertible soft top was practically never used and shows very well, easily retracted into its base.

The door panels are original and in great shape. We have the original books/manuals. Under the hood is the powerful all-aluminum alloy 5.6 liter V8 engine factory rated at 227 horsepower & 279 ft-lbs of torque. This is a well-maintained power plant paired with the 4-speed automatic transmission. The air conditioning is cold. The firewall, inner fenders and core support sheet metal is great shape. The original option identification plate is intact as well. The trunk features the factory spare tire / alloy wheel and jacking equipment along with the factory carpeting.

The under body showcases the original flooring and suspension throughout. This is a dry climate kept Mercedes-Benz and it shows. The factory exhaust system is also intact throughout. The R107 Chassis is what the 560SL is based on. This is a very robust chassis.
