“ The Zipper Deuce ”

Go Back....

.

The hybrid "Deuce" features the styling pluses of a 1932 Ford Roadster (frame, body and fenders) and at the same time the pluses of a 1933 Ford Roadster (grille, hood and a hint of the "fenders")

The exterior is finished in a striking display of black and deep purples.

The front end features a Heidt's Hot Rod Shop Superide independent front suspension with polished A-arms and solid axle rear end.

The frame itself is based on stock Deuce dimensions, with a 106 inch wheelbase. This special frame (of Zipper Motors origin) is fabbed with a Superide IFS, Mustang rack and pinion (linked to an Ididit tilt steering column), Aldan coilover shocks, Mustang II disc brakes, Ford master cylinder and Chassis Engineering pedal assembly.

The rear end is a Ford 8-inch packed with 2.79 gears and Aldan Pro Shock coilovers, all the while aligned in position by the Zipper triangulated four-link. Traction comes via B.F. Goodrich with 285/70R15s in back wrapped around Weld Scorpion wheels measuring 15 / 10 in back.

The front end is fitted with 14 x 6 Weld Scorpion wheels & 175/70R14 rubber.

This Lil' Deuce is ready for summer fun. Built to drive, 20,201 miles have been accumulated since its completion. This is a testament to its street durability and dependability.

The interior is custom stitched in leather and luxurious in its build quality and components.

The engine compartment features a beautifully detailed 355 cubic inch small block V8 engine dressed in chrome, billet components, and dual 4bbl. carburetors. The engine compartment is specially crafted with a smoothed firewall and intricate detail.

Traditional Roadster flair abounds in this form-fitting interior. The black wool carpeting is plush, complimented by purple floor mats piped in black.

The Zipper dash is fitted with VDO gauges.

A Lokar shifter slides through the Turbo 350 automatic transmission with ease.

Billet aluminum handles compliment this interior perfectly. This is a finished street rod ready to show and enjoy.

The quality of the build carries over to this specially formed and upholstered trunk.

The paint is done in all Dupont high quality products and is show quality.

The custom top is easily removed and fits this car perfectly. It features a soft, padded headliner.

Although the body is distinctly a Deuce, this smoothie windshield is Zipper inspired.

External trim modifications include Jaguar type headlights, Gear Head tail lights, and an ididit rear view mirror.

From the back, notice the '32 fenders have been bobbed and widened, with the addition of a '33-'34 style valence, again altering the appearance, yet still '32.
